We got back from Lake Telega, The Hubster’s Uncle’s lake, last week and we had SO MUCH FUN and now I just want to live there forever.

A Life Well Lived

We said farewell to The Hubster’s grandmother last week.
Nana was the sweetest lady and I am so grateful to have been able to get to know her over the last 16 years.

Nana suffered from dementia over the last 10 years and it’s heartbreaking to see that disease steal your loved one away.
But we saw little pieces of her feisty personality shine through.

Nana was a woman of amazing faith.
She had so many reasons to doubt or wonder but she was steadfast in her faith through everything.
We take comfort in the fact that she’s healed and dancing with the Lord right now. And that one day we’ll see her again.
Shhh…We did it!

I have a feeling there will be a lot of opinions on this, but after a lot of thought and discussion, The Hubster and I visited our family for a quick Memorial Day weekend visit.
We decided that after 8 weeks of not going anywhere, seeing anyone, and being safe, it was okay for us to visit people who did the same.

Something really great has happened during quarantine.
I reconnected with my cousin!
Farewell
I’m writing a sad post today.
My 94 year old grandfather went to be with the Lord and my grandmother on Saturday morning.
He had not been doing well for the last few months. He had fallen a few times and my uncle and dad had to make a few difficult decisions in the past couple of weeks.
We are all so glad that he is no longer suffering and is now enjoying a good night of relaxing with my grandmother and being treated to the greatest concert Pavarotti could perform.
I have a few posts scheduled for the week, but I’m taking the week off to be with my family.
Weekend Shenanigans
This picture sums up my weekend – road trip!
The Hubster and I headed back to Buffalo for the weekend and it did not disappoint!
