This month let’s talk about something super exciting – carpet cleaners! haha

I’m going to tattle on my mom right now and I hope she isn’t *too* upset.

I didn’t grow up with carpet cleaners/carpet cleaning.

Like I had no idea such a thing existed until I bought a townhouse when I was 25 and my (at the time future) in-laws offered to help me shampoo my carpets before I moved in.

I hopped on that but was confused…how is this something we’ve never had in our lives before?

Granted, most of the house I lived in had hardwood floors, but the main living room had a brown carpet that we only vacuumed and spot cleaned if we dropped food on it. So this world of carpet cleaners and shampoo machines was new to me.

Our apartment in Long Island had mostly hardwoods and when the carpet looked gross, I threw it out and bought a new one. (No joke.)

But now, I have a house full of white carpet.

Whoever decided white carpet should be in the house is the devil.

For realz.

But now I need a carpet cleaner.

I used to have one.

I lent it to a friend and didn’t think about the fact that she has a cat and dog. So when she returned it to me, it was covered with pet hair. Based on all of our allergies, we couldn’t keep using it. I donated it to the office. lol

So my question for you this month is:

What do you guys do with your carpets? Do you use a carpet cleaner machine? Do you use a service? What is the best kind?
