I’m linking up with Shay and Erika for How We Wednesday.
Today we’re talking about adoption!
This is the first family picture ever taken with my parents and me. 🙂
After not having a family for 5 months, I probably should have looked a little more excited. 😛
I’ve known I was adopted my entire life.
I don’t think there was ever a time that I didn’t know I was adopted.
I mean, my brother and I don’t look anything like our parents.
Growing up, my parents were in an adoption group.
I was probably about 6 or 7 until I realized that Asian kids could have Asian parents.
Virtually every Asian kid I knew, had white parents. It really never dawned on me it could happen any other way.

These peeps are my family.
I love them dearly.
And this guy is always supportive of me talking about adoption and who I am.
I’m also so much my dad in terms of personality, so we have nature vs nurture discussions all the time.
Especially because my brother and my mom – same person.
I can’t wait to hear what you guys do to talk to your kids and families about adoption.
I’m also opening up to anyone who had adopted kids that may want to talk. I’m always here. With unique perspecitive. 🙂
