Tuesday Talk

Tuesday Talk

Every third Tuesday, I  link up with  Fancy Ashley and Erika for Tuesday Talk.

Today we’re going to talk about vacation packing fails.

I really wish I was this person. Someone who is super organized and has their suitcase all organized and together.

Instead, this is pretty much me every single time I have to pack.

It doesn’t matter if I’m packing for 1 night or 12.

I’m stuffing junk in my suitcase at the last minute.

Packing Fail #1

The Hubster and I went on a quick weekend trip to get refreshed. Unfortunately, we were coming off a 100+ hour work week each and were pretty much zombies and barely functioning.

Additionally, we had to drop off something on our way to relax. So the night before we left, I worked until 2am, came home and packed, and The Hubster came home at 7am, threw clothes into a suitcase and we left.

When we got to our destination, I realized that I had not packed any underwear.

I had only what was on my body at the time. So that was going to work for maybe 1 day if I turned them inside out.

Fail.

Packing Fail #2

Generally, I pack everything into the suitcase and The Hubster brings it downstairs to load the car.

Last Thanskgiving, that was not the case.

I thought the Hubster loaded my stuff and he thought I loaded my stuff.

I had shampoo and shoes. 🙂

Fail.

Packing Fail #3

We went to Buffalo last weekend to spend some time with our families and on Saturday morning, I realized that I had only packed myself left contact lenses.

My right and left eyes are really different prescriptions.

I wear daily lenses, so I was able to find the one I accidentally threw out the night before, soak it in disinfectant, and wear it the rest of the weekend.

The Hubster offered to go out and buy me an eye patch so I could see out of my left eye easier.

He’s thoughtful like that.

What have we (and by we I mean me) learned?

I probably should make a list and use it all the time.

And load my own stuff into the car. 🙂

In January, we talked about dressing for our age.

In February, we talked about dry skin.
