It’s the end of August. Which means the end of summer. Sad.

But that also means fall!!! And pumpkins! And some fun!

My Mom’s homegrown tomatoes!

I visited my parents last weekend and my mom sent me home with a bunch of tomatoes. I grew up eating these right off the vine, so these taste like the end of summer to me!

They are sooo good!!

[what i’m reminiscing about]

I’m still reminiscing about all the fun we had on our lake house vacation.

From the swimming every day to doing these fun pictures with our drinks, it was a really great week with our family.

[what i’m loving]

We went out on my father-in-law’s boat last weekend and seeing my in-laws together like this was so adorable.

They are totally #marriagegoals

[what we’ve been up to]

We just celebrated 14 years of being together!! 🙂

I can’t believe its been that long. I mean in some ways I can’t even remember a time before The Hubster. And other times, I’m like, wait a minute. I’m 35?!?

[what i’m dreading]

I’ve been in and out of my office for the last week and this pile of papers keeps getting bigger and bigger. Quite honestly I have no idea if I’ll ever be able to dig myself out of it.

[what i’m working on]

No joke – I’ve been washing the same load of laundry for like 3 days.

I keep forgetting it’s in there.

I need a better system I think.

[what i’m excited about]

I got accepted into a leadership academy for the 2017-2018 school year.

I applied to get in a few months ago and was excited to get accepted.

I’ll be spending at least 1 day each month for the next 9-10 months meeting people in the community and working on how to be a better leader in my county.

I’m really looking forward to it.

[what i’m watching/reading]

I’m really liking that Chesapeake Shores is back for another season. It’s so good.

I’m really watching a lot, a lot, of Hallmark channel.

But the news is so depressing and a lot of other shows are full of such crazy drama (I’m looking at you, Scandal!).

I just started reading Jennifer Weiner’s Hungry Heart. I love her books and I’m sure this one won’t disappoint!

[what i’m listening to]

I started listening to James Taylor the other day and now I can’t stop!

His greatest hits album is so good and is on repeat in my car.

This is a holiday weekend so we get a bonus day off! 🙂

Clair is getting married!!

We’ll be at Clair and Dave’s wedding on Saturday.

I think we’re going to just go on an adventure ride on Sunday to see what’s around the area.

Monday we’re having a Bloody Mary breakfast with our neighbors.

Should be super fun! 🙂
