We decided to take a quick babymoon/vacation trip to Marco Island in October.
Let me just say – it did not disappoint.

We heard really good things about the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort.
Based on the reviews and the pictures, it looked like it would exactly what we needed to just relax for a few days.

We were super excited to see that they had the beach cabanas. While I wish they were closer to the water, it was pretty glorious to be able to feel the warm sun without baking in it.

Apparently there is a webcam to see what’s happening at the cabanas, and as you can see in the circle, we are waving at the camera. lol

I mean…there isn’t anything better than reading a good book on the beach.
Seriously.
Paradise.

Actual footage of the last sugary drink I had before the gestational diabetes doctor but the kibosh on them.

My happy place ❤

Every night there was a guy who would juggle fire.

Because I’m boring and needed to be in early every night, we ate dinner before anyone else was even in the restaurants! haha
I have to say, we really were impressed with all the restaurants on the property. The service was excellent and the food was so very good.
The resort is super family-friendly. And there was only 1 restaurant that said no kids after 10pm.
I have a feeling that we will be going back there with the baby because it wasn’t a big deal to have kids hanging out everywhere.

I treated myself to a pedicure and did not regret it for one second. The spa even had a special “spa” pool for anyone who had a treatment and wanted to just relax at a quiet pool. It sounds amazing but The Hubster couldn’t come with me and while I love me some quiet time at the pool, I’m pretty sure I’d be the one who got kicked out for talking. Or laughing. Or generally causing a rukus. 🙂

We took a drive to Ft. Myers beach and I have to say that I didn’t like it as much.
It was way more crowded and wasn’t really our jam.

We love the beach!!
I guess we did a ton more than I thought – so I’ll continue the rest of this post tomorrow!
