Charleston – Part 2

When we went to Charleston for a few days, we spent the first part of our trip with some friends and then we headed to the beach.

My happy place.

We got to the Wild Dunes Resort around 3:30pm, so we changed into our bathing suits and headed to a pool.

Where we found some yummy refreshments and stared at the water for a few minutes.

Then it started to thunderstorm, so the pool closed and we headed to our room.

Our view was pretty good – if you look in the distance you can see the ocean! 🙂

That night, we headed to Indaco for dinner.

I am the happiest when I’m served a pasta dish with cheese and an egg.

I mean, it’s so delicious you can’t stop eating it.

I couldn’t even eat half of this amazing dish and we didn’t have a fridge or microwave, so I had to leave my leftovers.

So sad.

Definitely go there if you have a chance…their Italian is not to be missed!

We started our Monday morning bright and early because I had rented these beach chairs all day and didn’t want to waste time in them.

Ha.

The beach is the only thing I’ll hurry out of bed for on any given day.

I’ll take a Monday like this any time!

After a day on the beach, we headed to dinner at 5Church.

It’s an old renovated church and the vibe in there is really cool.

Also the entirety of The Art of War is written on the ceiling.

Really awesome.

Equally as awesome was the fried chicken.

What can I say?

I’m a fried chicken girl now.

The next morning we got up and headed to the beach for one last swim and shell hunt before we had to leave for the airport.

I never want to leave the beach.

It makes me sad.

When you get to the airport and your flight is delayed, you hit up the bar.

Mojitos make delays less painful!

And when you finally get to your layover, and your next flight is delayed 2 hours.

Zero fun.

But I sampled some airport cheese platters that weren’t so bad.

And then we were home.

Thanks for a fun time, Charleston!! We will definitely be back! 🙂
