We spent a few days in Charleston, SC and it was so much fun!!
And I can officially say that I’m addicted to southern food.

Two people who were super excited to skip out on work early to head to the airport!
I treated myself to this cocktail on the plane and we had a convo that went like this:
Me: I love vacation!
Hubster: Drinking mini bottles of whiskey means vacation?
Me: I only do it on vacation.
We got into Charleston late and everyone was already in bed when we got there. But in the morning, look who took no time to bond with his new godson!
Henry is so cute and look at his adorable slippers!!!
While Henry took his morning naps, we headed out to Charleston to explore with our friends.
We popped into the pineapple fountain which is supposed to mean good luck.
It was also super hot that day, so people were swimming in the fountains.
I guess that’s okay to do there?
I know it’s frowned upon in other places, but when it’s like 100 degrees out, you do what you have to do!
We ate lunch at Tavern & Table and I can’t stop thinking about how good that food was.
If you’re a fan of pimento cheese – try theirs! It’s also got bacon jam with it and well, who doesn’t love bacon jam?!?!
Not us!
We walked around outside (for as long as we could stand it) and the streets are so cool.
The building in the south are so different than PA, so it was fun to see something a little different than home.
We ended the afternoon at a rooftop bar that had this really cool lifeside pinhead thing.
I imagine all kind of crazy happens here during the night hours!
You guys, I’m in total and complete love with some good sweet tea.
Why can’t us northerners make it as good?
It’s a tragedy.
At the baptism, we found this hilarious sign.
Of course I broke all the rules and took a picture of it. 🙂
I’m a rule follower like that.
Henry’s cake was decorated so beautifully.
It was also delicious and I had 2 giant pieces.

Poor Winn Dixie was super tired from entertaining us all weekend! haha
One of my favorite dogs, for sure!
There’s the first part of our fun trip!
Stay tuned for our time at the beach! 🙂
