We’re at the end of February already? Yikes! 2017 is going by in warp speed.
[what we’re eating this week]
So this week, it sort of is what it is. We made our favorite baked pesto chicken and ordered pizza. I was out of town earlier this week, so I’m pretty sure that The Hubster ate cereal and bagels for dinner when I was gone.
Adulting at its finest.
[what i’m reminiscing about]
I’m kind of missing hanging out on Miami Beach. We were here last year.
[what i’m loving]
I always thought these shoes would hurt my feet and so I only wore them for special occasions. But I went out on a limb and wore them to work.
They weren’t bad!
I love these babies! 🙂
[what we’ve been up to]
We had a busy week so The Hubster took me out to a nice dinner last weekend. And we split one of my favorites – creme brulee! 🙂
[what i’m dreading]
This is going to be my view for the next week.
I drove to Buffalo on Monday night so I could be with my Grandpa on Tuesday morning. Then I’ll be back in Buffalo this weekend (see below.) And next week my dad is having surgery, so it’s another trip back.
Good thing I have a bunch of great tunes!
[what i’m working on]
We don’t have an office area at the house and The Hubster and I end up working on our laps in front of the tv or at the dining room table. So for Valentine’s Day we decided to get each other a desk for the front room. So we headed to Ikea last weekend and found the perfect one. (I even snuck in a trip to Home Goods for the perfect office chair!)
The Hubster is so excited to have this new space. He even said I could decorate it! 🙂
[what i’m excited about]
I have been working on this stocking for my niece and it’s finally starting to look like something good! Can’t wait until it’s finished.
I might take a break from cross-stitch after this. It’s been 3 stockings in 2 years and my eyes need a little break!
[what i’m watching/reading]
I was totally prepared to hate this new season of 24.
Quite frankly, I am totally in love with Jack Bauer.
So I wasn’t sure if I could handle someone that wasn’t Jack Bauer in this show.
I really thought that it might turn into the Bond series – where a ton of people are James Bond. I didn’t want to have to like a “new” Jack Bauer.
I don’t – the new guy’s name is Eric Carter and I can totally be okay with it.
So far we like the show and will probably keep watching. Mostly because I can’t handle quitting a show mid-season. I think it might go back to when my parents kept drilling into us that if you start something you finish it. That might have pertained to softball and girl scouts, but I apparently can’t discriminate when to and not to use that rule. 🙂
I loved both the Devil Wears Prada and the Devil Returns, so I have a feeling this one is going to be super good too. I haven’t started it but I think I’ll have some time later this week.
[what i’m listening to]
I can’t stop singing Fitz and the Tantrums’ Handclap. It’s so catchy.
I think The Hubster is sick of hearing it too. lol
[what i’m wearing]
I just found these leggings on K-Deer. I have no idea how I found them, but they are awesome. I love the sneaker length because they aren’t too long. I’m short (5’1″) and I have trouble with pants, especially leggings.
I love the colors on these leggings. They were perfect for Valentine’s Day! ❤
This is a new tunic I found. And it’s so crazy comfy! I have to admit that it kind of looks like a dress on me but it’s totally fine for running around and being lazy at home.
[what i’m doing this weekend]
The Hubster’s Uncle is getting married on Saturday.
This dress is coming out to play and I’m putting on my some fancy dancing shoes.
I love dancing at weddings. And my sisters will be there. So you know the 3 of us are going to rip up the dance floor together!
[what i’m looking forward to next month]
This will be us so very soon and I CANNOT WAIT!!!!
We’re heading to Montego Bay, Jamaica with our friends and the thought of being on the beach for 5 days makes me giddy with excitement.
I cannot wait!
I also need to get back to working out because bathing suits.
[what else is new]
We were at IKEA this weekend and I’m totally mystified by the fact that the mattresses are all rolled up like this. How does this happen? And what the heck is in these mattresses that make them be able to be rolled like this?
Hope you all have a good week! 🙂
