I went on a work trip last week and let me just say – it was a little bit of work and a little bit of fun!
I was looking around for a hotel room and found that this place called The Lofts on Pearl had hotel rooms that were super reasonable.
Some of my friends had stayed there and said it was really nice, so I was looking forward to checking it out.
You guys! It’s an apartment!
I think you can rent this place for short-term business rentals and if I ever needed something like this I would totally be in. This was an absolutely gorgeous apartment.
In addition to some business meetings, I got invited to a Picasso exhibit.
Being the super cultured person that I am, the first question I asked was if selfie were allowed.
My boss was with me and started laughing.
But the curator assured us that pictures were welcomed, as Picasso should be shared with the world.
So I didn’t hold back and took a bunch of pictures.
I have no idea what this one is supposed to be.
This one was my favorite.
I have no idea what this is supposed to be, but this one seems cool.
There was the incident.
I took this selfie.
And a security guard came running over and yelled loudly, “THAT IS TOO CLOSE. BACK UP.”
Now, I’ll have you know, I did not touch the sculpture.
Let me say it again.
I did not touch this Picasso sculpture!
Of course, my boss started laughing immediately and was all like, we can’t you anywhere.
But 5 minutes later, he set off the alarm when he got too close to a painting.
We left the exhibit immediately and went back to the reception area where there were less expensive things. 😉
All in all, it was a good trip. We had some meetings and tried to get cultured.
We’ll just keep trying!
