Friday Favorites

It’s the first Friday Favorites of the year!

I’m linking up with Erika and Andrea to share my favorites from the week.

My sister-in-law gave me a Color Street manicure when we were together and holy cow it looks like a real salon manicure!

I’ve had it on for a week now and it’s only chipped on one nail that I hit on something.

I’ll keep you posted on how it goes when I try to take it off. I think you just use nail polish remover.

This snowman was outside our friends’ house.

I swear they used all the snow in the neighborhood.

And this was after a day of melting!

Impressive.

Sour Patch Kids Bulk - 5 lb. - Candy Favorites

I’m having a moment with Sour Patch Kids.

Or really sour candies in general.

I get this heart sour candies from Williams Sonoma every year because they’re so good!

Etsy: Buy Custom, Handmade, and Unique Goods - Apps on Google Play

I’m trying to continue to shop at small businesses and less at large retailers.

I’ll let you know how that goes more than 1 week into the new year. lol

The Hubster turns 40 in a few weeks and I found so many really cute things for him.

He’ll be really excited about all the surprises I found.

Or he’ll hate them.

Our nephew told him at Christmas that 40 was the start of old, so he was thrilled to hear that. 🙂

40th Birthday Balloon Bouquet 5pc - Sparkling Celebration | Party City

One of my friends is turning 40 tomorrow!

Tom and I met in college – he was a year older than me and way cooler that I’ve ever been.

We started working at the same CPA firm together on the same day and ended up doing a bunch of stuff together. We had the same clients, ended up at the same training, complained about the same managers.

12 years ago, Tom was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia. It was a shock to all of us that knew him – he was a super healthy and active person – I mean he ate 6 small meals a day of rabbit food!

Through prayers and a bone marrow transplant, he is cancer free but has never really recovered from the side effects of the chemo and transplant.

Tomorrow, my friend, that I didn’t know would live another 6 months, is turning 40.

Unfortunately, we can’t have a party, so I’m virtually celebrating him here.

Happy 40!

  1. My sister just started selling Color Street in December and I was so skeptical as I had tried other nail wraps and things but I am really liking how well they stay on!
