Tuesday Talk

tuesdaytalk

Every third Tuesday, I  link up with  Fancy Ashley and Erika for Tuesday Talk.

Today I want to talk about Birkenstocks.

(Yes, I know that last month I talked about flip flops, but I think that’s just the season!)

PAIR

I feel like everyone and their best friend (Joanna Gaines) are wearing Birkenstocks.

I’m a child of the 90s and 2000s.

In high school, I wore jeans and t-shirts almost every day.

I was the one that had the Birkenstocks above.

In fact, I feel like I only threw them out when we got married and the sandals were definitely not in style any more.

Mistake.

I feel like throwing any shoe out now is a mistake because they will totally come back in about 20 years and I’ll feel cool, retro, and save myself about $100 a shoe!

PAIR

I don’t know if I’m back into Birkenstocks or if I just am tolerant of them.

These pink ones are adorable.

And you know I can’t turn down a cute pink shoe.

TOPP

My mom wears this style and has since I was in high school.

I bought a pair. She tried them on and loved them so much she bought a pair. Then when they sort of wore out, she bought another pair and had her original pair rebottomed by a cobbler.

PAIR

I mean, they come in rubber, which for me is a big plus when I’m running outside or across the street for something real quick.

It’s so rainy outside these days and my pink Crocs have been my usual go-to. But I could see myself wearing these.

PAIR

I think I would get this style and color if I were going to do it again, but what do you guys think?

Are they fashionable again?

Do you think they’re still comfortable?

They aren’t cheap and I’m not sure if I would wear them as much as I used to.

What do you guys think?

(Let’s also not lie to ourselves…more likely than not, I’ll be wearing them at some point this summer. And I’ll even consider the knock-offs.)
