It’s the last Wednesday of the month!

So you know that means it’s time for What’s Up Wednesday with  Mix & Match Mama, Sheaffer Told Me To, and The Larson Lingo.

[what we’re eating this week]

We’re still doing Blue Apron.

Although we’ve moved on to doing it every other week.

This week we’re making Spicy Korean Chicken, Spiced Cod and Summer Squash Cakes, and Meatballs and Tomato Sauce.

[what i’m reminiscing about]

Taking trips with The Hubster. We always have so much fun on weekends and vacations. We have nothing big planned, so I think it’s about time I get something on the calendar!

[what i’m loving]

Eating dinner outside is pretty much the best part of summer.

It’s so nice and relaxing to just chill out. I’m looking forward to a lot of dinners on the patio.

Plus, drinking coffee on a Saturday morning on the patio is a simple life pleasure.

[what we’ve been up to]

Yesterday, I shared all of the stuff we’ve been up to lately.

Now that it’s summer, we’ll be outside a lot!

[what i’m dreading]

I’m having a bunch of fertility testing done this week (and in the coming weeks) and I’m really not excited about it.

I totally understand that this is a necessary first step in the infertility journey. It’s also a small price to pay to have a baby.

But yuck. I hate all the needles and the tests.

[what i’m working on]

I found a piece of barn wood from a previous project and bought some cup hooks. The Hubster put it all together for me and now I have this really cool necklace hanger. We installed it in the closet and I’m super excited about it.

[what i’m excited about]

We’re hanging out with these peeps this weekend and I can’t wait to see them all!

[what i’m watching/reading]

The newest season of House of Cards in on Netflix, so we’re going to start binging on it. This show is so awful but we can’t stop watching it. You don’t want to think that’s how Washington operates, but then there’s a tiny piece of you that thinks it kind of does work that way.

I just stared reading Big Little Lies. It’s good so far, so stay tuned for my book review!

[what i’m listening to]

I found Channel 300 – Celebrate on SiriusXM. Now I’m hearing party songs all day long! It’s really fun!

I do switch back to Top 40 tunes in the car, but these songs are pretty great to jam to while you’re reconciling bank accounts. lol

[what i’m wearing]

[what i’m doing this weekend]

We’re heading to DC this weekend to meet up with some friends and go to a craft beer tasting.

A lot of microbreweries attend and pair a fancy food with their beer.

It’s so fun.

I’m not a huge beer fan.

But I do like fancy food.

The Hubster will be in heaven.

And I get to visit with my cousin and his new baby, Max. So exciting!

[what i’m looking forward to next month]

June is going to be so busy!

We have Savor. (see above)

We’re heading to a Sportsmen’s Bash in a few weeks. They’re giving away guns, ATV, cash, an RV, etc. It’s crazy. I hope we win something fun!

And then at the end of the month, we have my mother-in-law’s retirement party.

Now that is going to be a fun party! 🙂

[what else is new]

We actually relaxed this holiday weekend which is a first for us.

Usually we’re hosting visitors or rushing off to visit someone. So for the first time, we stayed at our own house for 72 hours.

It was glorious!

[what is your favorite vacation spot]

Maui.

Maui.

Hands down. It’s Maui.

We’ve been there 3 times.

Every single time we plan a vacation, I ask to go to Maui.
