Book Club

It’s one of my favorite posts of the month – Book Club!

After I started searching for Elin Hilderbrand books to read, I came across Nancy Thayer and thought I would give her books a try. She didn’t disappoint! This book was actually very dramatic and while I had a hard time relating to the choices that many of the characters made, I was still hooked on finishing the book. I’ll definitely be reading more of her books.

I’m sure that I’m one of the only people in the world left who hadn’t read Jane Eyre. Sadly, I don’t think I missed out on anything. This book was just so boring and dramatic. Why the heck would Jane pine over such a jerk? Mr. Rochester was awful. And only wanted to be with her once he was disabled? Jerkface. haha

These super cheesy (and racy) books are an easy read. But seriously racy. Just so you’ve been warned and don’t get upset that these are in there. The stories behind them are really cute.

My book club read Me Before You and I really liked it. It’s a very controversial topic and I don’t want to really get into my views here, but the book definitely deals with it.

I really liked Louisa and how she tried to help Will. And Will seemed to truly love Louisa which was really touching to see how he changed. It’s a really sweet story. And it has the potential to make you cry.

I know this is book club, but yes, I saw the movie. Yes I loved it. And I’m totally in love with Sam Claflin too. 🙂

I’m a sucker for sequels. So I totally read After You. I like how it picks up from where the other book left off. And that Lou is the same girl, but with new things happening to her. She still seems like a real character and not some idea. I recommend!

What are you guys reading?
