What’s Up Wednesday

It’s that time when I link up with Mix & Match Mama, Sheaffer Told Me To, and The Larson Lingo to talk about What’s Up Wednesday.

[what we’re eating this week]

These almond cookies are the most delicious things I have ever tasted. I’m not exaggerating at all.

My sister-in-law found them and shared with me a few weeks ago and I can’t stop eating these cookies. We had a funeral we both attended last weekend and she even covertly brought me my own bag. I think I’m seeing her over the Labor Day weekend and I have good reason to believe another bag will make it into my hands.

If you live near a Tops Market, you might want to see if they’re in your bakery. #yourtummywillthankme

[what I’m reminiscing about]

I can’t be the only person out there who’s sad the Olympics are over. I’m not quite sure what to watch on tv these days! Although this whole going to bed at a reasonable time and not watching Men’s Kayaking at 2am is a bonus!

[what I’m loving]

I posted about it last week as a Friday Favorite, but these raspberry lemonade candies are so tasty. Good thing I did the whole Amazon Subscribe and Save thing, because once a month, a new tin arrives!

[what we’ve been up to]

I’ve been traveling a lot for work, so I feel like this view is what I’ve been seeing all the time. I think we go in spurts – either tons of travel and I live out of a suitcase for weeks at a time or I’m at home for weeks and forget that sometimes I’m limited to only a few outfits and 2 pairs of shoes. Yeah, right. I bring more than 2 pairs of shoes.

[what I’m excited about]

It is high time that I get back into shape. So I signed up to try Country Heat. A few years ago I did the 21 Day Fix Challenge and it was amazing. Then I broke my tailbone and got busy and there hasn’t been any working out for this girl for awhile. So I decided to jump into this workout. I can’t wait to try it!

[what I’m watching/reading]

I am addicted to Hallmark channel movies. There’s romance. There’s drama. I love it. And don’t even get me started on the Christmas movies on Hallmark. I basically have Hallmark on in the background starting November 1. #thehubsterhatesit #icantgetenough

Hallmark started a new series called Chesapeake Shores and clearly I love it. It airs on Sunday nights and my DVR is all set to record every week.

For some reason I haven’t been reading a lot this month. I’ve tried but just not been successful. But I did fit in this really adorable short story by one of my favorite authors, Elin Hilderbrand. The story is really cute and is a lead in The Matchmaker. Which, of course, now I have to read.

[what I’m listening to]

I love love love Michael Buble. I’ve seen him in concert 3 times. The first dance at our wedding was to “Home”. Michael Buble is a fixture in our house. And this new album did not disappoint! I have been listening to these 2 songs on repeat and I can’t wait to hear the rest!

I have no idea why I’m going old school this month, but I am really loving some Britney Spears. Her greatest hits album was on sale on iTunes, so I’ve been jamming out in the car lately. And we wonder why The Hubster stopped carpooling with me.

[what I’m wearing]

Shirt: Treasure & Bond Oil Wash Cutout Tee | Nordstrom
Similar Jeans: Skinny Jeans | American Eagle
Booties: Sully Peep Toe Fringe Bootie | Amazon
Necklaces| Clearance Rack | Target

Sheaffer recommended this shirt and I thought it was so cute, so I added it to my cart. It came really quickly and it’s perfect for Fall. It’s soft and a really adorable color. Plus it’ll be great with a jean jacket and khakis. It’s currently sold out in this color but it’s available in olive and black. (I have no idea why my shirt is so wrinkled. It didn’t look like that when I left in the morning.)

[what I’m doing this weekend]

It’s Labor Day weekend! So I’m going to be thankful for all the workers who sacrificed and worked in awful conditions so that America could succeed.

We’re also going to chill out, go to a few picnics, and indulge in some yummy summer beverages.

[what I’m looking forward to next month]

It’s time to polish off the Shout song and get ready for some Buffalove! I know, I know. I like to think of myself as optimistic (it could totally be our year!) and hearty (I know how to endure heartbreak – a lot of heartbreak!)

Go Bills!

[what else is new]

New neighbors just moved in across the street with their adorable dog, Taco. (That’s not him above.) He’s a shih tzu/bichon mix and basically the most adorable dog ever. I’ve been bugging The Hubster for a dog for years but he keeps saying no. So I’ve been hinting more than usual lately and hoping he falls in love with Taco. Who’s adorable. And so soft. And if he goes missing, well they’ll have to check my patio. #kidding
