#ontheloose – part 3

It’s the last part of our trip to Key West and I really want to go back!!

We were super excited to discover that there was an air show happening in Key West wil we were there. And the bartender convinced us that it was a better idea to take a boat ride to watch the show from the water.

We though about this. On the boat, we would get to snorkel, have an all day boat ride with drinks and food included, and see a really cool air show from the water.

Or stand on 160 degree blacktop and deal with traffic getting in and out of the Naval base.

No brainer.

The Blue Angels are amazing.

I cannot get over how talented they are.

In the picture above, 2 of them are flying upside down and teh other 2 are right side up and they are all in a formation.

Mind blowing!

Let me just say – there is nothing cooler than floating in the Gulf of Mexico watching the Blue Angels above you.

One of the coolest things I’ve ever done in my life.

The Hubster declined the float because he wanted to take pictures and video.

Romper

We finished up the trip with a dinner at Louie’s Backyard.

The scallops were sooo good!

Side note – my face wasn’t that red, I swear!

We couldn’t turn down the key lime pie!

We walked around Key West one more time before heading to bed.

Then it was time to head home.

Since we changed our minds and decided to stay an extra day, we ended up flying home out of Orlando instead of Ft. Lauderdale.

So we had a little bit of a road trip ahead of us. Which was okay – we don’t mind!

Really sad that it was 80 degrees when we left Key West and 35 degrees and lightly snowing when we arrived home.

Key West was so much fun and we’re totally going back!!
