It’s the last What’s Up Wednesday of 2018! This is madness because where did the year go?!?!

I’m kind of addicted to this salad (and not because it looks like Christmas).

Spinach, strawberries, shallot, blue cheese, beet chips, and vinaigrette.  You can even add chicken.

Yum!

I really wish I had some In-N-Out Burger. That was amazing.

For sure – this is my favorite time of year.

[what we’ve been up to]

We got invited to a pirate birthday party last week and we decided to go as Captain Hok and the Crocodile.

It was a really fun idea.

And I also sweated to death in the costume. hehe

[what i’m dreading]

As I mentioned before, my dad broke his back a few weeks ago.

He has a 12 week recovery.

He just asked the doctor if he can just take the brace off and be okay to return to regular work.

[face palm]

It’s going to a really long 8 more weeks!

[what i’m working on]

I have my niece for our homemade secret santa gift and I’m making her princess play doh.

Or at least I’m trying to do it.

We’ll see how it turns out.

[what i’m excited about]

The Hubster is going to be so excited to open this up on Christmas morning. 🙂

[what i’m watching/reading]

There’s nothing like watching your favorite Christmas movies and wrapping presents with hot chocolate. 🙂 Best feeling ever.

(Although now my back hurts because I can’t sit like that for 3 hours anymore…hehe)

And I’m still reading Christmas books! 🙂

I can’t say enough amazing things about my Allbirds sneakers. This is my second pair and they are worth every single penny, friends.

They’re lightweight. You don’t have to wear socks and your feet don’t sweat. They come in fun colors too!

So my go-to last minute gift are Christmas dishes.

I’m pretty lucky in that I work in an office park with a Lenox outlet and that makes it really easy for me to run in and grab something that’s a million percent off.

In fact, I have a feeling I’ll be there at lunch today…
