Thanksgiving

I know it’s late but I thought I should post about our Thanksgiving celebrations.

They were so fun, that we looked like my niece afterwords!

I was assigned cranberry relish for dinner so I made it before we left.

I also had no idea there was that much sugar in this recipe.

We got on the road Wednesday night for Buffalo and there was a bit more traffic than we expected.

When we got to Buffalo, The Hubster told me that he needed to get some hunting clothes. (Um, I’m all for shopping, but what were the clothes in the giant tub you put in the truck?!?)

So we found ourselves at Dick’s on the night before Thanksgiving, looking for warm camo clothing.

And I kind of felt like I was in the twilight zone.

We’ve never been hunting camo people.

I guess we are now.

I actually got myself this adorable zip-up for the parade we went to on Saturday. I just snuck it in to The Hubster’s basket and he didn’t notice until it was too late. I should have tried that with this North Face jacket I’ve been eyeing up.

On Thursday morning, we continued the tradition of watching the parade with breakfast at my sister-in-law’s house.

Who wouldn’t want to snuggle up and watch the parade?

We headed to my parents’ house for dinner and my mom had the table look so cute!

The food was amazing and the company was even better. I got to see my aunt and uncle, and I haven’t seen them in about a year. And family friends came to visit and it was really nice to be able to spend time with them.

The Hubster went hunting after dinner and I snugged up and watched a Christmas movie with my mom.

Happy Thanksgiving from us! 🙂

I took zero pictures on Black Friday.

But I spent most of it with some friends I haven’t seen in forever.

There’s something pretty amazing about spending the afternoon with a bestie that you don’t get to see all the time.

Saturday we spent the morning at the village Christmas parade and it did not disappoint.

We got all the candy we could shove into our pockets and then some.

And Santa came right over to see us! 🙂

When The Hubster came back from hunting with his dad and brother-in-law, we ate a quick dinner and then headed back home.

Granted my dad fell and got hurt the next day and we turned around and came back, but it was a really great time with our family and friends. 🙂
