How did we get to the end of March so quickly? Yikes! That must meanit’s time to link up with Mix & Match Mama, Sheaffer Told Me To, and The Larson Lingo to talk about What’s Up Wednesday!
[what we’re eating this week]
We’re eating these yummy steaks this week.
My Uncle raises cattle and when we saw him a few months ago, he gave us these steaks. We had totally forgotten about them in the freezer and decided it was our lucky day when we discovered them.
To be clear – I was looking for ice cream and sadly, we didn’t have any.
[what i’m reminiscing about]
I can’t wait for the weather to be warm enough for us to spend time on the boat.
My father-in-law wants to take a small boating trip this summer and we’re super happy to go with him.
Being on the boat on a warm summer day is pretty much life.
[what i’m loving]
I’m still loving taking a bath most nights.
My baths are not as glamorous as this one, but it feels like it in my head! 😉
[what we’ve been up to]
Eating.
I think this month I’ve just spent it eating lots of food.
You will hear zero complaints from me.
[what i’m dreading]
I have a bunch of random medical tests coming up and even though I’ll be 36 in a few days, I’m still a wimp when it comes to needle pricks.
[what i’m working on]
I’m sure I mentioned this before, but I’m dancing in a Dancing with the Stars type of competition in a few weeks.
I have been dancing 3-4 nights a week for the last few weeks and it’ll continue for a few more.
I am having so much fun.
I’m also working super hard and yikes, dancing is a lot more mentally challenging than I had ever anticipated.
Also, I think The Hubster might be sick of hearing my dancing song and me mutter 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 and dancing constantly. hahah
[what i’m excited about]
I think it’s finally going to start feeling like spring!!
I can’t wait until I can go outside without wearing a giant winter coat.
My spring jackets are getting sad and want to come out and play!
[what i’m watching/reading]
I think we all know that I’m glued to the TV on Sunday nights watching When Calls The Heart.
And the wedding?!?!?! Adorable.
I’m also watching Meet the Peetes and they are also an adorable family. It’s a cute show!
I read The Women of Christmas and decided I should try out The Women of Easter!
I just started, so I’ll let you know!
[what i’m listening to]
I know. I have problems.
When I’m alone in the car these days, I pretty much listen to Mariah Carey’s greatest hits. Of course, I sound just as amazing during the sing-along. 🙂
[what i’m wearing]
Similar Cardigan: Halogen Rib Knit Wool Cardigan | Nordstrom
Tank: Luxe Curved Tank | Old Navy
Jeans: Black Stretch Mid Rise Jegging | Express
Shoes: Zadlo Mules | Nine West
Have you guys tried the Old Navy Luxe Tanks yet? I know everyone is talking about them (and they are regularly on sale so you don’t have to pay full price). If you haven’t gotten one yet – do it!
They’re super comfy and I don’t wear a cami underneath it. And I wear a cami under everything. But this one doesn’t need it.
I also splurged on these mules and while they remind me of my Grandma, I think they are really comfy and I’m looking forward to wearing them all spring!
[what i’m doing this weekend]
This weekend we’ll be celebrating Easter with our families.
I think I’m most looking forward to hearing my adorable 2 year old niece ask for chocolate every 5 minutes. It helps that I’m happy to oblige. Because I’m that cool of an auntie! 😉
[what i’m looking forward to next month]
April is the start of birthday season in my house.
April 7 – my birthday
April 8 – my mom’s birthday
April 16 – my nephew’s birthday
April 25 – my mother-in-law’s birthday
April 26 – my parents’ wedding anniversary
May 3 – my brother-in-law’s birthday
May 6 – my father-in-law’s birthday
So we pretty much eat cake and sing “Happy Birthday” for a month. 🙂
[what else is new]
We just discovered a brewery about 30 min from our house that has an amazing food truck that stops there on Friday nights.
As you can see, I devoured the chips and guac. 🙂
I think this will be a fun new place for us on Friday nights.
[what are you favorite easter traditions?]
I’ve always loved egg dyeing.
The smell of vinegar and food coloring reminds me of Easter as a kid.
Hope you have a great Wednesday! 🙂
I love dyeing the eggs too. I love the outfit you posted. I am still a baby when it comes to needles too! Good luck!
