It’s time to link up with Mix & Match Mama, Sheaffer Told Me To, and The Larson Lingo to talk about What’s Up Wednesday!
[what we’re eating this week]
I’m sure pretty much all of America will be eating turkey this week! 🙂
Yum! 🙂
[what i’m reminiscing about]
I’m so happy to see my Christmas decoration posts and I can’t wait for them to come back out this weekend!
[what i’m loving]
The Hubster and I started listening to Podcasts while we go on road trips. (And we’re in the car a lot.)
We just finished listening to Dirty John. It’s crazy and weird but all 6 podcasts are on there so you aren’t in suspense when it’s over. I didn’t love it but didn’t hate it. Worth a listen if you need something to fill 6 hours of your time! (And I did last weekend! lol)
A Killing on the Cape is creepy and really very sad. I don’t think I would have picked this had I realized what happened. Some parts are very disturbing.
The best one is The Way I Heard It With Mike Rowe. These are mini stories and they’re funny or interesting facts that you maybe never knew. The only problem is that they are 6-7 min long so you’re constantly making changes on your phone.
[what we’ve been up to]
We have been on so many road trips this month.
Washington D.C. Buffalo. Philadelphia. Buffalo. Albany. Buffalo. New York City. Buffalo.
Lots and lots of time in the car.
Which is why we’re listening to so many podcasts.
[what i’m dreading]
My Christmas shopping list is very empty.
This is not good for me for December.
It’s time to get to business.
[what i’m working on]
Yep.
I’ll be with the masses Christmas shopping.
[what i’m excited about]
Many years ago (like 10…yikes!), The Hubster and I would go to this amazing German & Polish food restaurant for dinner.
Like we would go so often, the chef and owner would find us a table even when they were booked solid.
We went as much as we possibly could and the food was so amazingly fantastic that my mouth is watering while I type it.
The restaurant closed a few years ago and we were devastated.
DEVASTATED.
But I just found out that Janice, the owner, opened a food truck and serves all the food from her restaurant on Saturdays.
Winner!!
So I’ll be there on Saturday buying all the things they have for sale.
Nothing says weekend after Thanksgiving by stuffing your face full of a potato pancake and spetzle.
[what i’m watching/reading]
You all know what I have been watching since Halloween.
I don’t think I even need to say it. hehe
I’m halfway through this book and it’s amazing.
It’s the perfect read this holiday season and speaks to me on so many levels.
I needed to hear this message this year.
[what i’m listening to]
I’m a sucker for boy bands and this 98* album is actually really good. I’ll be listening all season! 🙂
But don’t worry – the classics are on repeat too!
[what i’m wearing]
Shirt: Thermal Graphic Tee | Old Navy
Jeans: AEO Jegging | American Eagle
Boots: Ugg Amie Boots | Nordstrom
I had a work road trip recently and this is what I decided to wear back home. It’s warm and cozy for the ride, very festive, and comfortable to be in the car for 6 hours.
If you want to see what else I wore this month, check here and here!
[what i’m doing this weekend]
I’m heading to the Christmas parade in my parents’ town. It’s adorable and I
[what i’m looking forward to next month]
I can’t wait until all my Christmas decorations are up and I can lay by the fire watching Hallmark movies and drinking hot chocolate.
There’s nothing quite as fun.
[what else is new]
These Sorel Addington Waterproof Chelsea boots were on sale and will be coming home to me very soon! 🙂
I love that they have such a great tread on them for walking in the ice.
