I know I’m not the only baseball fan out there that’s still super happy for the Chicago Cubs. And it’s crazy to think that the last time the Cubs won the World Series was in 1908.
Can we just talk about 108 years for a minute?
In 1908, there was no Facebook or Instagram.
There wasn’t electricity in everyone’s homes.
The country hadn’t fought WWI or WWII yet.
Women didn’t have the right to vote.
There hadn’t been a Great Depression.
The World Trade Center hadn’t yet been built.
The oldest person in my life, my 93 year old Grandfather, had not yet been born.
There have been people who lived their entire lives and the Cubs didn’t win the World Series.
Am I the only one who still thinks of the movie Rookie of the Year?
On a total side note, I’m hoping that the Cubs didn’t use up all the drought luck. Because I would really love for the Bills to make the playoffs again. It’s been 17 years. I’m sad to think that I might have to wait another 91. 😉
