I think my life these days is either 0 or 100.

We’re either running around like crazy people.

Or I have no plans and we sit at home doing nothing.

This last week was the perfect balance, though. Come on in and see what we’ve been up to!

The Hubster and I went on a date night to a new bar/restaurant called Bar Nine. One our friends recommended it to us and it was amazing.

One of my favorite parts is that the menu was glow in the dark.

I thought it was actually a piece of glow in the dark paper but The Hubster pointed out to me that it was actually a menu like the Kindle and just glows.

Whoops.

I thought it was cool.

You guys – the lobster mac and cheese was so amazingly delicious that I was mad that I couldn’t keep eating it.

We also ate the roasted brussel sprouts with bacon and truffle oil. And that was everything amazing in the world. And I’m saying that about brussel sprouts – the food people hate!

We had a really good time.

On Saturday, The Hubster and I fought over who was going to eat the last bowl of Golden Grahams for breakfast.

The Hubster then decided to work on his model boat in the middle of the living room like no big deal.

I hightailed it out of there and went to the mall.

I needed to return a dress to Loft and decided I should try some clothes on!

I am totally and completely in love with this top. It’s the most adorable cowl neck. It’s crazy soft. It looks great with jeans. It’ll be perfect for fall. I needed an XXS (it runs big) and they didn’t have that in the store, so I ordered it online. I can’t wait!!

I loved these jeans, but as you can see, they were super long on me and they didn’t come in a short length.

Bummer.

They are super soft and I love them.

This Striped Pom Pom Off the Shoulder top was really cute but I didn’t think I needed it.

It’s adorable though.

I wanted to like this Chevron Shift Dress but it felt and looked kind of boxy on me.

It was really comfy and fit true to size.

I thought this Floral Textured Flare Dress might be a good one for me that was out of the box. I usually don’t go for dresses like this.

I kind of see why.

I didn’t think it was me.

I did end up with this Fringe Tweed Shift Dress.

It felt a little boxy but I think it’ll be really cute with a cardigan for the fall/winter. And a pair of cute black boots, too. I’m looking forward to wearing it!

Saturday night we had a super fun time – we went to a plein air dinner at a local winery with our neighbors.

When we got to the winery, we did a quick wine tasting to determine which wine we were going to have with our dinner. Since we’re not people who can decide easily, we selected 2 wines – a sparkling white and a red. We enjoyed both of them during dinner. Which I’m sure isn’t cool with the wine peeps, but we aren’t super strict wine people. lol

Dinner started with a caprese salad and the main course was lollypop chicken, pork, roasted vegetable, and some fingerling potatoes.  It was amazing. I couldn’t stop eating it.

Dessert, which I was too busy eating and not taking pictures, was a raspberry sorbet with a lemon tart. All of which was made with fruit grown at the winery. I was in dessert heaven.

We had so much fun.

And it looked so nice at night with the tables and the lights.

I would totally go again. We really enjoyed it!

Yeah. This is how I spent most of my Sunday. 🙂

We had a dinner picnic at this lake near our house and watched the sunset.

The perfect end to our weekend for sure.

I was selected to join a leadership academy in our community and it starts next month.  I just found out that I have to submit a 1 page, single spaced, 11pt font biography about myself.

Um.

I don’t have that much to say about myself in the professional sense.

I don’t think I can use this profile for my business bio. I mean I can put some funny things in here and reference that I do blog, but I don’t think this is the greatest idea.

So I’m heading off to work on my bio. Wish me luck!!
