November is National Adoption month.

As an adoptee, this is a cause that’s very near and dear to my heart.

I was adopted, as an infant, from Korea when I was 5 months old. I’ve lived my entire life here in the US, as a citizen, and it’s not something that I take for granted.

So easily, I could have been an orphan on the streets in Seoul.

So easily, I could have lived a life in extreme poverty.

So easily, I could have lived a life as a completely different person.

Thankfully, my biological mother and father made the decision to give me a better life.

Thankfully, a case worker matched my file with my parents.

Thankfully, my parents said yes to my referral.

I live this amazing and blessed life.

Adoption is pretty fantastic.
