2021

Hi Friends!

I apologize for being so delinquent. It’s been a year for everyone, hasn’t it? Come on in and let’s catch up real quick!

2021 has include the highest of highs and lowest of lows.

Crazy how life works, huh?

I’m still cooking a bambino.

Pregnancy itself has been a wild ride.

When you ask the medical professionals about the strange things that happens to your body, they tell you it’s totally normal.

It’s normal that my hands go numb every night? Good to know.

It’s normal that I wake up with such intense muscle spasms in my legs that I can barely walk the next day? A little heads up would have been nice.

It’s within normal range that I’ve thrown up every single day since I was 5 weeks pregnant? Okay, cool – it’s like second nature to just make sure I have a baggie with me everywhere I go.

Despite the fact that I’m taking insulin and eating the lowest carb, lowest sugar diet I can possible imagine, I still am unable to maintain a normal blood sugar just happens to people?

Maybe I should have read the books…or watched the videos…or you know…had some sort of heads up. lol

All in all – I am doing well, I generally feel good, and am really looking forward to meeting this little person.

We got a little sneak peak at this little peanut’s face and I cannot wait to see what they look like in person!

The second half of our year has really been marked by missing my dad.

We lost him so quickly that we all still have moments where we can’t quite believe he’s gone.

My mom, understandably, has had the hardest time without him. We’re all trying to support her as best we can. I’m glad my parents decided to get a dog a few years ago, so she’s not totally alone and has a reason to get outside every day.

The hardest part for me is that I cannot fathom that I’ll be bringing a baby home and he won’t be here to meet this kiddo. He was so excited to be a grandfather. He’d picked out his name – Poppy.

I’ll continue to miss him like crazy and know that he lives in my heart now, so he’s always with me.

I have some time off before this kiddo makes an appearance (hopefully), so maybe I’ll sneak in a few more catch up posts before the end of the year.

2022 sounding like '2020 2' People saying 2021 sounds like '2020 won' - )

If I don’t get back on – I wish you all the best holiday season.

Merry Christmas!

Happy New Year!
