Friday Favorites

Is it just me or do days in December go by super duper fast?

I’m linking up with Erika and Andrea to share my favorites from the week.

Watch Holiday Baking Championship Season 1 | Prime Video

I can’t stop watching Holiday Baking Championship.

I love seeing the desserts and the decorating.

I just found out that all the old seasons are on Hulu and now that’s basically what I’m watching while I work.

My waistline is very happy that I’m not a judge. Can you imagine eating all of the desserts?!?! Oh my gosh – heaven!

I bought these sunglasses in April when there was a sale and I was pretty excited to have them.

This is the last picture I have of myself in them because shortly later, the sunglasses fell into the lake.

I had a chance to save them, but The Hubster insisted I make sure the boat not hit another boat instead. Blah blah blah. 😉

I couldn’t justify buying them again, not on sale. But they were on a Cyber Monday sale and WINNER!

Pin on 2020 sale

I bought these Vince Camuto booties at the Nordstrom anniversary sale and I was immediately bummed that I didn’t get them in black too.

Well enter Cyber Monday and they are in my life now! 🙂

I decided to have Christmas pictures taken of us and it’s tomorrow!

Now the weather is supposed to be rainy and not cooperative, so just a continuation of the madness that is 2020.

I bought The Hubster this shirt to wear with a navy sweater to go over it.

But now what should I wear with it?

I got this sweater because it’s so cute and wintery, but I’m on the fence.

And then I panic bought this dark pink sweater because I’m me.

Tonight I’ll be trying on sweaters from my closet and will hopefully find something that I like.

The Hubster bet me $10 that I would wear neither of these sweaters and end up with something that’s been in my closet for years.

(Only because that happened for family pictures a few years ago and he has never let me forget it.)

As I was putting up this tree the other day, a large chunk on the bottom wasn’t lighting up.

My suggestion was to turn it to the wall and move on.

The Hubster got on the floor, checked a bunch of bulbs, looked at the fuses, was frustrated some of his equipment was at work and not available at the moment, and was about 2 seconds away from rewiring the entire tree.

After 30 minutes, he was like, you know what? Turn the spot to the wall.

Before I put the skirt on, I started to vacuum up the little needles that fell on the ground.

When I bumped into the base, the dark spot lit up.

No joke.

It was an actual Christmas miracle!!

  1. Just be careful: we had that same problem with our tree and by Christmas morning we could smell a weird burned plastic smell. A few lights near the burned out/blinking spot overheated and actually melted the plastic holders! Thankfully we never light our tree when we’re not around so no harm was done.
