I thought it was time to give an IVF update.

But full disclosure…it’s not a great one.

IVF initially went well – the shots weren’t so bad. I mean, I didn’t love them, but we were in a groove and it was going well.

But the hormones weren’t working as well as hoped and I only had 3 good follicles.

So the doctor decided to switch the IVF to an IUI.

I was bummed that it wasn’t going to be the full IVF, since we had done the 14 days of shots, but it was better than nothing.

Thankfully, I had the IUI procedure done before the world went on total lock down, so The Hubster could go inside with me.

Sadly, the IUI wasn’t successful.

We are sad.

I don’t know if we’re going to try IVF again. Based on my numbers, it’s guaranteed that another round of IVF would yield 5 follicles.

I’m not sure if I want to do all that again.

So for now, we’re going to take a pause and figure out our next steps.

Thanks for all your prayers and love. We felt them all and know our baby is out there somewhere. We just have to find our way to each other. 🙂
