Epcot!

Our second day in Florida (and The Hubster’s birthday!!) was spent in Epcot!

Here are the faces of 2 people who had no idea how large Epcot was and completely underestimated how tiring it would be to run from one part of the park to the other.

The Hubster wore his Happy Birthday pin and we were shocked at how many people wished him a Happy Birthday!

The only lunch reservation I made was at the Biergarten in Germany because I knew we were going to love the food.

It was amazing.

And there was an adorable band that played during our lunch, so we really had fun eating there.

We are not so good at waiting in lines.

Especially ones that say they are only 20 minutes long but are really 50+ minutes.

We had tacos and guac in Mexico and they were soooo good.

[side note: yes, we walked from lunch in Germany to the space rides to Mexico. I was so tired at the end of this day.]

I tried to order a margarita to go with my tacos and the lady wouldn’t serve me because she didn’t think I was 21 and I didn’t have my wallet with me.

I wasn’t sure if I was more horrified that at 35 I couldn’t order a drink and get served one or if I should be excited that I can still pass for under 21.

The Hubster was horrified (because they served him a margarita) that people thought he was dating a child. hahaha

The previous margarita incident was forgiven when I was served a bellini in France and sipped on it while I was eating a crepe.

Life is good, Friends. đŸ™‚

Pluto was the only character we got a picture with the entire time we were there!

(I also might have thought he was Goofy for a few minutes until The Hubster corrected me. Don’t worry – I didn’t call him Goofy to his face. lol)

I love traveling with this guy. He’s my best friend and most favorite human. I can’t wait to spend this next year with him and seeing all the great things I know he’s going to do!

In case you were wondering, I did have a Mickey ice cream at Epcot. đŸ™‚ It was delicious!

Here’s a fun montage of the pictures we got from the Epcot photographer!

Then we said good night to Epcot and headed out for The Hubster’s birthday dinner.

(My night time picture taking skills aren’t as on point as The Hubster’s.)

One of our bucket list items is to eat at as many Iron Chef’s restaurants as possible. I have already crossed off Michael Symon, Mario Battali, and Marc Forgione. When we realized that Masaharu Morimoto had a restaurant at Disney Springs, we knew we had to go.

It was amazing.

We started with Pork Dumplings.

We fought over them and that we each could only have 2. (The Hubster had eaten one before I took this picture.)

The Hubster wanted to try the sushi, so he ordered a spider roll. I don’t eat a lot of sushi, but I tried a roll and it was as you could imagine, delicious.

We ordered a buri bop bowl that was out of this world delicious. The bring to your table this bowl that has been heated up to 450 degrees. Then they add in the rice, fish, and veggies and essentially make fried rice in it.

Again, we argued over who had more servings because we couldn’t stop eating it.

The Hubster also wanted to try the waygu beef that they cook table side. It was fun to watch the waiter sear the meet right on a stone in front of us.

My tummy was also very happy to eat the meat!

Clearly we didn’t like any of it. hahahah

We “settled” for a sorbet trio. đŸ™‚

That is pretty much a wrap on The Hubster’s birthday and our day in Epcot. đŸ™‚
